Building for the person behind the room

I’m building stellarchive around a pain point I often found myself in as the Director of Operations and eventually as COO of a startup. A deadline just days before a raise or bridge round or an acquisition meant sitting with a laptop renaming hundred of files in a dark Seoul hotel room.

So this is meant for the early startup founder or oftentimes the first operations / finance person who has to get a company's documents ready before lawyers, investors and accountants ask for them.

The goal is a useful, organized room—not another place to lose track of files.

The details matter

My focus is on the questions that come after a file is uploaded: Is this the current version? What is still missing? Who has signed, and who hasn’t? What needs attention next?

I want those answers to be clear, without making people guess whether a status is a button or whether they need to upload a file and assign it to someone else.

A room you can take with you

stellarchive is intended to be a source of truth for current documents, not a replacement for a legal archive. People should keep using it because the product helps them, and not because their files are locked in. Export and thoughtful, limited sharing are part of that approach.
